Despite the disappointment of the previous day’s defeat against Côte d’Ivoire, the Togo Sparrowhawks showed good spirits on the following Wednesday. To unwind, the team led by Didier Six enjoyed sunbathing by the pool and engaged in water games at their headquarters at the Cabanas Hotel in the Sun City complex.
After a refreshing swim, the group gathered on the hotel’s green lawn to play a barefoot game of small goals, splitting into two teams. Laughter, banter, and camaraderie filled the air during the game, which was won by the team in pinafores. Meanwhile, the substitutes from the previous match had a regular training session at the Moruleng stadium.
In the afternoon, the team focused on massage and rest for recovery. Starting the next day, Emmanuel Adebayor and his teammates would resume training with their sights set on the upcoming match against Algeria.
