Claude Koutob is making a new move in his career by signing a three-year contract with AS Marsa in Tunisia’s top division. After a successful trial period, the Togolese midfielder secured the deal last Friday.
Koutob arrives from Gabon, where he spent the last six months playing for FC Sapins. He first made a name for himself in Togo’s domestic league, featuring for Semassi and Anges FC. As a junior international and native of Bassar, Koutob has high ambitions with his new club: “To be champion of Tunisia and to be among the best scorers.”
He will be joining fellow Togolese player Papa Awunyo at AS Marsa, who has been with the club for three years as a defender. This move could be an important step for Koutob’s career in North African football.
