Christian Kofane not on Bayern Munich radar

Christian Kofane’s agent, Eric Depolo, recently sparked excitement by naming Bayern Munich as one of the clubs tracking the 19-year-old Bayer Leverkusen striker in an interview with Daily Arsenal.

However, fresh reports in Germany suggest the situation is more complicated than it first appeared.

Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg claims Kofane is not currently on Bayern’s transfer shortlist for the upcoming summer window. Instead, the German champions are prioritizing talks to extend Harry Kane’s contract beyond 2027, reinforcing their faith in the England captain as their main striker.

Leverkusen are believed to value Kofane at around €60–70 million, a fee that would likely restrict his options to Europe’s biggest spenders. At this stage, the Premier League is viewed as the most realistic next step in his career, with Arsenal said to be watching developments particularly closely.

The London club has already been heavily linked with the teenager in recent weeks, and Kofane’s blend of potential and productivity makes him an attractive long-term option. For now, though, Bayern’s cool stance leaves the door open for English sides to move to the front of the queue.
