Chrisnovic Nsa: Cork City sign Canadian right-back from Gzira United

Cork City have completed the signing of right-back Chrisnovic N’sa from Maltese side Gzira United FC in a standard transfer on 6 July 2026.

The 27-year-old defender, born in Montreal, Quebec, joins the First Division club after a short spell in the Maltese Premier League Opening Round, where his market value most recently stood at 250,000. He is a right-footed full-back standing 1.83m tall and is eligible to represent both Canada and DR Congo.

N’sa arrives in Ireland following a period of frequent moves across North America and Europe. Before his switch to Gzira United in January 2026, he played in Sweden for Ostersunds FK, having joined the Allsvenskan side from Huntsville City FC in the United States in February 2024.

His time in Sweden followed a move to Huntsville City in early 2023 from Inter Toronto FC, where his market value increased steadily and first reached 250,000 in late 2022. Earlier in his career, he developed in Canada with CF Montreals academy and then HFX Wanderers FC, where his valuation grew from 100,000 to 150,000 during his initial senior seasons.

The transfer to Cork City marks N’sas first move into Irish football, adding a defender with experience in Canadian, American, Swedish and Maltese competitions to the First Division sides back line.

N’sa is now registered as a Cork City player following the completion of his move from Gzira United.
