The 17-year-old, who is of Nigerian descent, played a starring role as United cruised to a comfortable win in front of a packed stadium in Asia.

Obi, who has been steadily rising through the club’s youth ranks, described the moment as long-awaited.

“It is a big moment because I have been waiting a long time for this moment.
“Every time I get the opportunity I stay out with the finishing coach to do extra.
“The fans here are amazing. They welcomed us and cheered us for the whole game.”
