Patrick Dorgu’s future at Lecce is set for a major shift in 2025, according to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The 20-year-old Danish winger, who is of Nigerian descent, has been lighting up Serie A with his dynamic performances, earning comparisons to some of Europe’s brightest young talents.
Dorgu’s versatility, having transitioned from left-back to winger, has been key to his rise, with three goals this season and a standout assist in Lecce’s shock equaliser against Juventus. His stellar form saw him crowned Denmark’s Young Player of the Year, propelling his stock even higher.
Top clubs, including Chelsea and Tottenham, have already shown interest in Dorgu, with the Blues holding a long-standing affection for the player.
However, Lecce’s €35 million asking price in the summer kept the Premier League giants at bay. Despite recently penning a long-term contract, Romano suggests that Dorgu’s departure from Lecce is inevitable in 2025, with Chelsea still keen on securing the highly sought-after prospect.
