Chelsea have reportedly made enquiries about Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Carlos Baleba, as the 21-year-old continues to impress in the Premier League.
The Cameroonian international has been in outstanding form this season, attracting interest from top clubs.
Manchester City had previously been linked with the player, and now Chelsea have entered the race, according to transfer specialist Ekrem Konur.

However, Brighton are not willing to part with the midfielder during the current transfer window.
Baleba, who joined Brighton from Lille, has established himself as a key figure in the team’s midfield.
In 23 appearances across all competitions this season, he has contributed three goals and two assists, demonstrating both defensive solidity and attacking intent.
His composure on the ball and tactical awareness have made him a crucial asset for Roberto De Zerbi’s side.
The midfielder is under contract with Brighton until June 2028, with an option for an additional year.
Transfermarkt currently values him at €35 million, while reports indicate he earns an annual salary of €756,162.
Brighton are preparing for their next Premier League fixture against Nottingham Forest as speculation around Baleba’s future continues to grow.
