Premier League outfit Chelsea are expected to snap up Dutch-Nigerian attacker Emanuel Emegha from sister club Strasbourg.
The Blues are seeking to augment their squad for the new season, and Emegha, who endured an amazing campaign with the French Ligue 1 outfit has emerged as a target.
According to reports, Chelsea are considering offering the 22-year-old a six-year deal to secure his services for the new campaign.
Emegha has long been linked with a transfer between the two sister clubs, with the Dutch forward flourishing under the tutelage of head coach Liam Rosenior.
Last season, Emegha scored nine in 31 games across all competitions; this jumped up to 14 goals in 29 games this season.
While a transfer is expected this summer, Emegha is unlikely to feature in England next season as Chelsea plans to loan back the attacker to Strasbourg, who are set to compete in the Europa Conference League next season.
Emegha’s current contract with Strasbourg is expected to elapse in the summer of 2028.
