The Senegal international was shown a straight red card during Sunday’s 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United at St James’ Park, leaving Chelsea to play with ten men from the 35th minute onwards.
Jackson was dismissed after an altercation with Newcastle defender Sven Botman, and the resulting ban will see him miss Chelsea’s final two matches against Manchester United and Nottingham Forest.
The red card could not have come at a worse time for the London club, who are in the thick of a tightly contested race for a top-five finish.
