Chelsea linked with Roma midfielder Manu Kone

French-Ivorian midfielder Manu Kone is the subject of a rumoured move from Roma to Chelsea, with the Premier League club monitoring the 25-year-old’s situation in Italy.

Kone remains under contract with Roma until 30 June 2029 and is valued at €50m. No transfer fee or probability has been established for a potential move to Stamford Bridge.

The central midfielder joined Roma from Borussia Monchengladbach on 30 August 2024 in a deal worth €18m. He has made one Serie A appearance for Roma this season, starting the match and playing 88% of the available minutes.

Kone has also featured five times at the 2026 World Cup, recording one yellow card but no goals or assists. His current market value is €50m, the highest figure recorded for him.

The player began his senior career at Toulouse before moving to Monchengladbach, where he developed into a central midfielder. Roma’s long-term contract position means the Italian club would not be under immediate pressure to sell, while any negotiations would be expected to reflect his current valuation.

Kone’s possible move to Chelsea remains at the rumour stage, with the Roma player continuing to operate under contract at the Serie A club.
