Chelsea are keen on signing a new striker in the summer transfer window to give Senegalese attacker Nicolas Jackson competition.
The attacker has been Chelsea’s main striker in the last couple of seasons, but has not given the team the edge to compete for trophies.
Fans have not been happy with his performances in the team, especially this season.
Over the weekend, Nicolas Jackson faced a lot of criticism after he received a red card in the English Premier League clash against Newcastle United.
With no recognised striker in the team, Chelsea struggled and eventually lost 2-0 to the Magpies.
With pressure mounting, some sources say Nicolas Jackson is likely to lose his place as the first-choice centre forward for the Blues.
It is understood that a search is already underway to bring on board a new striker for next season.
Chelsea are thought to be interested in former Manchester City striker Liam Delap and are also keeping tabs on Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen.
Should any of these strikers be signed, they will become the first-choice centre-forward for Chelsea next season.
