English Premier League side Chelsea are in advanced talks with Borussia Dortmund for the signing of Jamie Gittens.
According to Transfer Insider Fabrizio Romano, Gittens will sign a long-term contract with Chelsea once negotiations are completed.
“Jamie Gittens has agreed to a seven-year contract with Chelsea. Chelsea are now working towards an agreement with Dortmund. Chelsea continue to make progress on this deal and continue to view Gittens as a priority target this summer,” Fabrizio Romano said on YouTube.
Chelsea wanted to sign Jamie Gittens before the start of the Club World Cup, but Dortmund turned it down.
The Blues, since then, have continued to negotiate with Dortmund in hopes of agreeing on a deal.
The latest information indicates that the two clubs are close to reaching an agreement, and the deal to transfer Jamie Gittens to Chelsea is all but done.
The 55 million euros move is expected to be completed after the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
