Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior has reinstated France international of DR Congo descent Alex Disasi into the first team.
The 27-year-old defender was axed from the Blues first team squad under previous manager Enzo Maresca. He struggled for game time, where the defender declared intentions to depart the club.
Disasi spent the first half of the season training with Chelsea’s reserves and even featured in several matches for the U21 side.
But Rosenior, who recently joined the Blues has recalled the defender to the team. he is now training with the main squad and could get minutes under him when he gain full fitness.
“I had a very good conversation with him. I told the players that everyone starts with a clean slate, and I thought it was right to speak to him,” Rosenior said.
“He is behind in terms of conditioning, and we will work with him to help him catch up.”
The Frenchman joined the London club in August 2023 from French Ligue 1 giants Monaco after top display at the club.
Since joining Chelsea, the defender has racked up 61 appearances, scoring five goals and providing two assists.
