Reports indicate that Chelsea have already agreed personal terms with the 22-year-old and are now hoping to strike a deal with Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Bundesliga side is currently demanding a transfer fee of €100m to sanction a sale this summer.
Chelsea believes the fee is too high and are negotiating for Frankfurt to lower their demand.
Hugo Ekitik last season scored 22 goals in 48 appearances and established himself as one of the lethal youngsters in Europe.
He is reportedly open to joining Chelsea this summer.
