Nigeria international Ademola Lookman has been ruled out of the upcoming UEFA Champions League game between Atalanta and Barcelona due to an injury setback.

The reigning African Footballer of the Year has suffered a knee injury, ruling him out from Atalanta’s crunch away game against the Spanish giants on Wednesday.

Aside the Barcelona clash, Lookman is expected to miss a couple of Serie A games considering the injury he sustained.

His injury comes as huge blow for Atalanta as they take on Barcelona, who has been impressive in the Champions campaign so far.

The 27-year-old Nigeria international has racked up four goals and provided two assists from six games in the Champions League group phase.

In all competitions, he has managed 27 appearances for Atalanta, scoring 14 goals and providing seven assists across the period.
