Moroccan defender Chadi Riad has suffered a fresh ACL injury during training, ruling him out for the remainder of the season and pre-season with Crystal Palace.
The 21-year-old, who joined the club last summer for €15 million, has managed just three first-team appearances, as injuries have plagued his debut campaign in England.
This setback also impacts Riad’s international career.

Last featuring for Morocco in June 2024, his prolonged absence casts doubt on his participation in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, set to be held in Morocco later this year.
After a promising 2023 that saw him win the African U-23 Championship and a Spanish title with Barcelona, Riad now faces the difficult task of recovering and reigniting his career.
