Ghanaian football legend, Sulley Muntari, has named Cameroonian great Samuel Eto’o as one of his best strikers of all time, alongside Zlatan Ibrahimović and Thierry Henry.
Speaking to Flashscore, Muntari also shared his belief that Ibrahimović was overlooked for the Ballon d’Or due to his outspoken nature.
“Ibrahimović is the top player, he’s one of the best during his time. They didn’t want to give him the Ballon d’Or, because he speaks his mind too much. Sometimes they don’t like to hear that, but Ibrahimović is massive. My best strikers of all time are Eto’o, Ibrahimović and Henry,” Muntari said.
Having played alongside Ibrahimović at both Inter Milan and AC Milan, Muntari described him as a top player who always pushed his teammates to perform at their best.
He also dismissed claims that the Swedish forward was intimidating.
“As a teammate, Ibrahimovic wasn’t intimidating at all. He just wants the best out of you. He won games easily for whichever team I played. I managed to play with him during his early years in Inter during his first season then we met at Milan,” Muntari shared.
