Carvajal sets unusual condition for possible Getafe move

Dani Carvajal has reportedly made a non-negotiable demand concerning his future as he considers a possible move to Getafe.

The former Real Madrid player is a free agent and can join any club outside the transfer window after his contract with Real Madrid ended at the conclusion of last season.

According to Radio Marca, Carvajal is prepared to accept a lower salary to play for Getafe. However, he wants his contract to include a clause allowing him to leave if he receives an offer from another club during the next winter transfer window and decides he wants to accept it.

The proposed arrangement would mean Carvajal could sign a contract with Getafe, subject to the agreement of all parties, but remain at the club for only three months. That is the period remaining before the next summer transfer window opens.

The condition does not appear to suit Getafe. The same report says the issue has intensified the disagreement between the player and the club as they attempt to reach an agreement.
