Canadian midfielder Ralph Priso joins Vancouver Whitecaps FC for new season

Vancouver Whitecaps FC has secured the signing of Canadian midfielder Ralph Priso, marking a significant addition to the club’s roster ahead of the upcoming season. The talented midfielder, of Cameroonian descent, finalized a one-season deal, further bolstering the Whitecaps’ midfield options.

The announcement was made official by Vancouver Whitecaps FC through their website and social media channels, confirming Priso’s acquisition from the Colorado Rapids.

In exchange for the transfer, the Whitecaps have agreed to a deal worth up to $150,000 in conditional general allocation funds (GAM) for the 2025 season.

Expressing his satisfaction with the completed transfer, Axel Schuster, the sporting director of Vancouver Whitecaps FC, welcomed Priso to the club and highlighted the potential he brings to the team’s midfield dynamics.

Schuster emphasized Priso’s valuable experience gained from his stints with both Colorado and Toronto, expressing optimism about the midfielder’s future development within the Whitecaps’ setup.

In his first official statement as a Vancouver Whitecaps FC player, Ralph Priso conveyed his excitement about embarking on a new chapter in his career.

The midfielder, known for his versatility and technical prowess, expressed eagerness to contribute to the historic club’s success and integrate seamlessly with his new teammates.

“I’m excited to be here in Vancouver and playing for this historic club. This is an important step in my career.

I’m looking forward to learning, getting to know my teammates, and helping the club in any way I can, whilst being back home,” Priso remarked, highlighting his determination to make an impact on the pitch.

With a market value of 1 million euros, Ralph Priso brings a wealth of potential to Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Having represented the Canadian U17 team, Priso’s dual nationality also makes him eligible for the Cameroonian national team, offering a unique dimension to his footballing journey.

As he prepares to don the Whitecaps jersey, Priso’s arrival signals a new era of promise and ambition for the MLS outfit.
