A delegation from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) is currently in Namibia to assess the state of the facilities for the upcoming African Women’s Cup of Nations, scheduled from October 11 to 24, 2014. The delegation’s main objective is to evaluate the readiness of the host country for the tournament.

During their four-day stay in the capital city of Windhoek, the delegation visited various stadiums, accommodation facilities for players and supporters, as well as three designated centers for accommodation during the event. These centers include accommodations for the CAF delegation, visiting teams, and officials. Thus far, no significant delays have been reported in the preparations.

Fourteen teams are still competing for the seven available spots to participate in the tournament, making the qualification process highly competitive.
