Morocco Confident Ahead of Junior Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier Against Togo
Morocco’s national junior football team is in high spirits ahead of their second-leg clash with Togo in the Junior Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. Following a strong 2-0 victory in the first leg in Lomé, the Atlas Lions are confident of securing qualification when they face the Hawks on home soil.
Raja Casablanca defender Omar Arjoune, speaking ahead of the match, expressed the team’s determination to complete the job and advance to the next stage of the competition. “This match is very important for us and it is an important step towards reaching the CAN, insha Allah. While waiting for the qualifier between Mali and Burkina Faso, we are all determined to achieve a good result, insha Allah,” Arjoune said on the official FRMF website.
The Moroccans will look to build on their solid performance in Lomé, where they managed a convincing 2-0 win against Togo. The result has given them a strong advantage going into the second leg, but the team is not taking anything for granted.
The match is set to kick off at 5:30 p.m. local time (4:30 p.m. GMT) as the Atlas Lions aim to seal their place in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
