Paul Put, the Belgian coach of Burkina Faso, addressed the media in a press conference ahead of the CAN grand final against Nigeria. He shared the challenges the team faced, particularly his own experience of being stuck at Nelspruit airport for around ten hours before finally reaching Johannesburg.
In response to the physical toll on the players, Put mentioned, “It’s hard to say. We’ll see in practice. We did a check-up yesterday. Everyone has heavy legs.” He acknowledged that the extended delay at the airport was not a positive situation for the team.
Despite the challenges, Put emphasized the significance of reaching the final, stating, “For us, it’s already magnificent to play the final. We will do everything to win it!” This reflects the determination and focus of Burkina Faso as they prepare for the crucial match against Nigeria.
