Initially facing serious financial problems and on the verge of forfeiting the second leg of the CAN 2015 qualifiers, the Mourabitounes eventually departed from Nouakchott. After a brief stop in Senegal, the Mauritanian national team is currently in Dubai. They will remain there until Thursday before traveling to Mauritius.
The return match against Mauritius will not be held in Port-Louis, the capital, but in Curepipe, the country’s second city. The match is scheduled for April 20.
