Jonathan Pitroipa Shines Again Ahead of 2015 AFCON
After being named Best Player at the last Africa Cup of Nations, Jonathan Pitroipa has once again demonstrated why he remains a key figure for Burkina Faso. The attacking midfielder ended the 2015 AFCON qualifiers on a high note, finishing as one of the top scorers with six goals.
The former Stade Rennais player showed remarkable consistency, finding the net in every match he played during the qualifying campaign. His performances were instrumental in helping the Stallions secure their place in the tournament, which will be held in Equatorial Guinea.
Modest in the face of his achievements, Pitroipa credited his teammates:
