The Tottenham striker, who is rumored to be returning to Lomé on Monday for an audience with Togolese President Faure Gnassingbé, confirmed the information on his Facebook page. Adebayor’s presence at the CAN has been confirmed by Gabriel Améyi, president of the Togolese Football Federation, and a press conference is scheduled for Monday to make the announcement to the media. This comes after Togo’s recent friendly defeat against Niger (1-3). The team will continue its preparations in Accra, Ghana, with a final match against Niger on January 13.
