A few days before the African Cup of Nations, the national coach of Mali is still awaiting the final selection of the Eagles who will be heading to South Africa. Coach Moustapha Yatabaré mentioned, “The constant is that today, we have several players who stayed with the doctors to do a medical assessment. Then we will decide within the next 24 hours to compose the group of 23 players. For the rest, the atmosphere is good. We worked on a first session yesterday afternoon and a 2nd session today (Sunday) in front of our audience, and it was a pleasure. Everybody is here. We will have to make choices regarding the state of health of each person. In the coming hours, I will have all the elements to decide on the final list.” Moustapha Yatabaré, Mahamadou Diarra, Abdou Traoré, Mamadou Samassa, and Tongo Ahmed Doumbia, under medical observation, were spared this Sunday.
