Jamal Tassew, the Ethiopian goalkeeper, became the first player to receive a red card in the 29th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN 2013). Tassew was sent off during the match against Zambia after a violent collision with Zambian striker Chisamba Lungu in the 35th minute.
