The Algerian national football team arrived in Johannesburg, South Africa, on a special plane as part of their preparation for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN). The delegation, consisting of 57 people, was welcomed by the Algerian community in South Africa. The team will be based in Rustenberg and is scheduled to play friendly matches against South Africa and Platinium Stars on January 12 and 17, respectively. The Algerian coach, Vahid Halilhodzic, has planned a bi-daily training schedule for the team.
