Stephen Keshi is narrowing down his selection for the CAN, as the Nigeria coach has removed four players from the initial group of 32 who were in Faro, Portugal. The excluded players are Kalu Uche, who is injured, as well as Rabiu Ibrahim, Henry Uche, and Papa Idris.
The NFF (Nigerian Football Federation) announced that the latter three have already left the team’s base camp in Portugal. Now, there are 27 players remaining, and there is still uncertainty surrounding Shola Ameobi, who has not yet joined the Super Eagles.
Nigeria is placed in Group B of CAN 2013 alongside Zambia, Ethiopia, and Burkina Faso.
