The Indomitable Lions’ training camp, under the guidance of Marc Brys, continues smoothly. On Thursday, June 6, 2024, the team will hold their training session at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaoundé, but this time, it will be behind closed doors.

In a statement made late Wednesday, June 5, the Minister of Sports and Physical Education announced that he would chair a preparatory meeting for Cameroon’s upcoming international matches against Cape Verde and Angola, scheduled for June 8 and 11, respectively, in Yaoundé and Luanda.

This meeting will involve all usual partner administrations and the Cameroon Football Federation, with the goal of assessing the implementation of recommendations from a prior meeting held on May 29.

The closed training session decision, as conveyed by Team Press Officer Noël Essengue, was made without a given explanation, likely at the discretion of coach Marc Brys.

This move might be aimed at maintaining focus and ensuring strategic preparations are kept confidential.

Thursday’s training will commence at 2 p.m. and will include the usual regimen of breakfast, treatments, an 11 a.m. meal, and a video session.

This session marks a critical phase in the team’s preparation as they gear up for their crucial encounters.

The Cameroonian public and fans of the Indomitable Lions are keenly watching these developments, eager to see how Brys’ tactics and training methods will translate into performance on the pitch.

The upcoming matches are pivotal for Cameroon as they aim to secure victories and bolster their standing on the international football stage.

With the training camp progressing in a highly controlled environment, the Indomitable Lions are set to face Cape Verde and Angola with renewed vigor and strategy, reflecting Brys’ firm decision-making and meticulous planning.
