Cameroonian striker Marius Noubissi is generating significant interest from clubs across Asia following a strong season in Armenia.
After a period of uncertainty, Noubissi’s move to Ararat Armenia has proved to be a turning point in his career, with the 27-year-old netting 13 goals this season and once again becoming a sought-after player in the transfer market.
Noubissi, who has previously played for Valenciennes and Beerschot, has reignited his career in Armenia after a quiet spell.
His performances have not gone unnoticed, with several top clubs in Asia reportedly expressing interest.
According to sources, his profile is attracting considerable attention from teams in the Gulf region.
Amadou Fontem Tigana, Noubissi’s agent at Team Royal Agents Agency, confirmed the growing interest in the forward, revealing that a move could be on the horizon.
“He’s going to change clubs. He’s in Armenia to relaunch his career. Many clubs are interested, especially in the Gulf. We’re working on it,” Tigana stated in an interview with a Cameroonian media outlet.
Among the clubs linked with Noubissi are Johor FC of Malaysia’s Premier League and Saudi Pro League side Al Khaleej.
Both clubs are said to have opened negotiations with the player’s representatives, signaling their intent to secure his services in the upcoming transfer window.
The forward’s impressive form has positioned him as a key target for these clubs as they seek to strengthen their squads.
At 27, Noubissi’s career has seen him journey across several countries.
Beginning his footballing education at Les Astres de Douala, he then went on to play in Tunisia, Portugal, Finland, Belgium, and France.
Despite his globetrotting career, his representatives suggest that Noubissi is eager for a new challenge and is open to the prospect of another international move, with a transfer to Asia now looking increasingly likely.
Currently valued at €450,000 by Transfermarkt, Noubissi’s departure from Armenia seems almost certain at the end of the season.
As negotiations continue behind the scenes, a transfer to one of the prominent clubs in the Gulf region could be imminent, with a potential move to either Johor FC or Al Khaleej appearing to be on the cards for the forward.
Noubissi’s journey from European leagues to Armenia has been a pivotal chapter in his career, and with interest now mounting from Asia, a new adventure awaits the Cameroonian striker in the not-so-distant future.
