Kévin Soni, the Cameroonian striker, has found a new footballing home with Hapoel Jerusalem in Israel. The deal, confirmed in a press release shared on the club’s official social media channels, entails a six-month loan with an option to purchase at the end of the season.

Hapoel Jerusalem formally announced the acquisition of Kevin Soni, expressing enthusiasm for the addition to their squad.

The club acknowledged a prior interest in the player, which was momentarily delayed due to a lingering injury concern from the previous season.

However, with Soni completing his rehabilitation, Hapoel Jerusalem is delighted to welcome him to the team, adorned in the distinctive red and black colors.

The official statement read: “Now it’s official, Cameroonian Kevin Soni (25 years old) joins the ranks of Hapoel Jerusalem. Soni comes to us from Rapid Bucharest, on loan until the end of the season + option… We postponed our interest in him due to an injury that handicapped him last season, and as he completes his rehabilitation, we are very happy that he is here with us now, dressed in red and black.”

As the transfer marks Soni’s inaugural foray into Israeli football, the Cameroonian international brings a wealth of experience, having previously played six matches totaling 225 minutes with Rapid Bucharest earlier in the current season.

With a market valuation of 450,000 euros, Soni’s arrival is anticipated to bolster Hapoel Jerusalem’s offensive prowess and contribute to the team’s ambitions for the remainder of the season.

The move to Hapoel Jerusalem signifies a new chapter in Kévin Soni’s career, and the football community awaits to witness his impact in the Israeli football landscape over the coming months.
