Cameroonian international Zambo Anguissa is close to departing Italian outfit SSC Napoli.
The 29-year-old midfielder is said to have reached an agreement with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), which owns Al Hilal.
If confirmed, the move would mark a significant shift in Anguissa’s career, having previously been linked with top-tier clubs in both Ligue 1 and the English Premier League.
Anguissa, currently on the books at Serie A side Napoli, has established himself as a dynamic and physically imposing presence in midfield, earning recognition across Europe for his performances in both domestic and continental competitions.
His potential departure to the Gulf region is seen by some as a surprising decision, given the calibre of interest he has reportedly attracted from several leading European clubs.
Meanwhile, Napoli have already identified some players to replace the midfielder in the summer transfer window. The club will not stand in the way of the player should he decide to leave at the end of the season.
