Cameroonian international Fabrice Ondoa moves closer to Panargiakos deal

Cameroonian international Fabrice Ondoa appears increasingly likely to join Panargiakos FC, with two credible sources confirming that talks between the goalkeeper and the Greek second-division side are progressing positively.

While the transfer has not yet been finalised, Ondoa has already begun training with the squad as both parties seek to settle remaining details ahead of the winter window.

Panargiakos coach has publicly acknowledged the negotiations, underlining Ondoa’s importance to the club’s ambitions.

Speaking he shared his satisfaction at seeing the experienced goalkeeper now involved in preparations, despite the initial failure to complete the move during the summer.

If Ondoa had respected the terms of our discussion, he would have started the season with us.To achieve our goal this season, we believed Fabrice was an essential link for our group. The management made him the offer to join the club during the summer transfer window, but several factors did not favor this transfer. Thank God, everything is back in order, and I am delighted, as are my management, to have him at this time, while waiting for the winter transfer window to open.

Ondoa, who has been a free agent since parting ways with his previous club, has continued to seek the right opportunity to reassert himself on the European stage.

Trained at the prestigious Samuel Eto’o Academy, he earned attention early in his career through spells with Barcelona B, Sevilla, NK Istra and Alavés.

He is also well known for his contributions to Cameroon’s national team, most notably during the Africa Cup of Nations.

His agent, Eric Depolo, confirmed that Europe remains the primary focus for his client as they weigh up interest from several clubs.

Ondoa isn’t going to Saudi Arabia or anywhere else for now. He’s training in Greece, and we’re exploring several options. Everything could come together this winter. Greece, Poland, or even Portugal… we’re prioritizing Europe. We’ll have more information later.

Ondoa’s current market valuation stands at €325,000, according to Transfermarkt — a figure expected to gain traction should he secure regular playing time and return to form in club competition.

For Panargiakos, the potential signing represents a major reinforcement in a campaign that demands both stability and leadership at the back.

For Ondoa, the move offers a welcome platform to reignite a career once filled with high expectations.

As negotiations continue, all signs indicate that an official announcement may only be a matter of time, marking a significant next step for both goalkeeper and club.
