After a brief period of being unattached to any club, Cameroonian goalkeeper Devis Epassy is on the brink of returning to action with a potential move to Al-Wasl FC, a top-tier club in the United Arab Emirates.

Epassy, who was released by Abha SC on January 30, has spent the past two months without a team. However, it appears that his hiatus from professional football is coming to an end as reports indicate that Al-Wasl FC has extended an offer to the 31-year-old shot-stopper.

Negotiations between the parties involved are reportedly underway, suggesting that Epassy could soon find himself back on the pitch.

The goalkeeper’s journey in football has seen him traverse various leagues and countries.

Beginning his career in the youth ranks of French clubs Stade Rennais and Lorient, Epassy later made his way to US Avranches in 2015.

A move to Greece followed in 2017, where he represented Levadiakos, Lamia, and OFI Crete over the course of four years.

In August 2022, Epassy ventured to Saudi Arabia to join Abha SC, where he plied his trade until his recent release.

Now, with interest from Al-Wasl FC, Epassy stands on the verge of embarking on a new chapter in his career, potentially opening up the opportunity to compete in a different league and immerse himself in a new culture.

As negotiations progress, Epassy remains optimistic about the prospect of joining Al-Wasl FC, eager to contribute his skills and experience to the team’s endeavors.

Should the deal be finalized in the coming days, Epassy’s move to the United Arab Emirates will mark another significant milestone in his footballing journey, offering fresh challenges and opportunities for growth on the pitch.
