Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana now the third-choice at Manchester United
Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana is reportedly the third-choice goalkeeper at Manchester United for the 2025/26 football season.
According to journalist Graeme Bailey, United have informed Onana that he is free to look for a new club, with a loan move considered the most likely outcome. However, the possibility of a permanent transfer has not been ruled out.
The 29-year-old, who joined United from Inter Milan in 2023, now finds himself behind Altay Bayındır and summer signing Senne Lammens in the pecking order.
Onana’s decline follows a difficult campaign marked by inconsistent performances and mounting criticism. As a result, the club is reportedly open to moving him on before the winter transfer window.
Traditional Turkish giants Galatasaray are among the clubs monitoring his situation, while there is also growing interest from Saudi Arabia.
While an immediate departure will be difficult, the former Ajax man looks likely to find a new club in the winter window.
