Cameroonian youngster Youssoufa Moukoko was on target for FC Copenhagen on Friday evening, leading the team to come from behind to secure a 3-1 win against FC Nordsjaelland in the Danish Superliga.
The match at the Right to Dream Park began with Copenhagen struggling to break down a disciplined Nordsjaelland defence.
The hosts took the lead in the 46th minute when Prince Amoako pounced on a clever pass from Sindra Walle Egeli to slot home from close range.
However, Copenhagen regrouped and began to pile on the pressure. Their persistence paid off in the 59th minute when Youssoufa Moukoko latched onto a perfectly weighted through ball from Rodrigo Huescas before calmly finishing past the goalkeeper to level the score.
From there, the momentum swung heavily in Copenhagen’s favour. In the 75th minute, Pantelis Hatzidiakos scored to put the hosts in front for the first time.
Nordsjaelland pushed forward in search of an equaliser, but this left them vulnerable at the back.
In the dying moments, substitute Yoram Zaugue sealed the victory, tucking away Mohamed Elyounoussi’s low cross in the 90th minute to complete the comeback.
