Cameroonian attacker Youssoufa Moukoko is close to completing his move from Dortmund to FC Copenhagen.
According to Funke Sport, Dortmund is set to receive a transfer fee of around €5 million, with an additional €2 million in potential performance-related bonuses.
Transfer Insider Fabrizio Romano also confirmed that final negotiations between the two clubs are underway, and an official announcement is expected soon.
The move marks a new chapter for Moukoko, who once emerged as one of Germany’s most promising young talents.
Despite his early rise, the 20-year-old struggled to meet expectations at Dortmund and failed to secure a consistent place in the squad.
Financially, the deal offers significant relief to Borussia Dortmund, potentially saving the club up to €8 million annually in wages.
Moukoko spent last season on loan at French side OGC Nice but failed to make a lasting impression.
He was left out of both the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup squad and Germany’s U21 European Championship plans.
In a recent statement, DFB sporting director Rudi Völler advised the striker to seek a fresh start at a club where he could enjoy more playing time and rebuild his career.
It is understood that Youssoufa Moukoko is eager to make the move and hopes to take advantage of the opportunity.
