Georges-Kévin Nkoudou has committed his future to Damac after signing a contract extension that will keep him at the Saudi Pro League club until 2026.
The Cameroonian international had been widely expected to leave but has instead opted to remain for another season.
Damac announced the extension as a “surprise” decision, given that Nkoudou had been strongly linked with a move away.
The 29-year-old forward was reportedly close to joining Al-Raed next summer, with an agreement in principle for a three-year contract set to begin on 1 July 2025.
Al-Ahli Saudi had also shown interest in signing him, but negotiations did not progress.
Nkoudou has established himself as one of the league’s most prolific forwards.
This season, he has scored 10 goals and provided three assists in 18 appearances.
Since joining Damac from Besiktas in July 2023, he has been directly involved in 31 goals—netting 23 times and assisting eight—in 49 matches, making him a key figure for the club.
The Versailles-born winger began his professional career in France with FC Nantes before moving to Olympique de Marseille.
His performances earned him a transfer to Tottenham Hotspur, where he struggled for regular game time.
Loan spells at Burnley and AS Monaco followed before he made a permanent move to Besiktas in 2019.
During his four-year spell in Turkey, he played 108 matches, scoring 21 goals and registering nine assists.
Nkoudou, who has earned 13 caps and scored twice for Cameroon, will now continue his career in Saudi Arabia, where he remains a crucial part of Damac’s attack.
