Cameroonian international, Jean-Charles Castelletto, is reportedly set to leave FC Nantes this summer.
According to sources, the centre-back will sign for Qatari club Al-Wakrah once he leaves the French Ligue 1 club.
It is understood that Al-Wakrah have already reached an agreement with FC Nantes to sign Jean-Charles Castelletto for a fee around €3.5 million.
The 30-year-old, who joined Nantes from Stade Brestois in 2020, played a key role in the club’s success during his time there, most notably helping them lift the Coupe de France in the 2021/22 season.
Castelletto, born in the suburbs of Paris, came through the youth ranks at AJ Auxerre and made his professional debut in 2013 in a Ligue 2 match against Gazélec Ajaccio.
While Al-Wakrah appear to be leading the race for his signature, Castelletto has also attracted interest from UAE Pro League side Al Jazira, who are reportedly monitoring the situation closely.
Further checks have revealed that the centre-back fancies a move to Al-Wakrah.
