Cameroon youngster Etta Eyong plans to decide next club in January amid Premier League and Barcelona interest
Levante striker Etta Eyong is expected to make a decision on his long-term future when the transfer window reopens in January.
The Cameroon international has been one of LaLiga’s standout performers this season after joining Levante from Villarreal in the summer.
His impressive start has attracted serious attention from top European clubs, including Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Barcelona.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Eyong wants his future settled before the end of the winter window.
However, he plans to remain at Levante until the end of the campaign, even if a transfer is agreed.
Because the 22-year-old has already represented two clubs this season, current FIFA regulations prevent him from playing for a third team until next term.
That restriction means any move completed in January would see Eyong continue on loan at Levante until June.
Barcelona, who attempted to sign him last summer but were blocked by Financial Fair Play limits, remain interested.
Their hopes hinge on whether LaLiga reinstates the 1:1 spending rule in January. If that happens, the Catalan club could finally move for the striker.
If not, Premier League clubs are poised to pounce, with Manchester City and Chelsea reportedly preparing formal approaches.
Eyong’s decision could therefore shape one of the most anticipated transfer battles of the winter window.
