Cameroon will pitch camp in Morocco ahead of their friendlies against Uganda and Equatorial Guinea next month.
The matches scheduled for June forms part of the Indomitable Lions preparation for the impending 2026 World Cup qualifiers in September and the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco later this year.
Cameroon will face Uganda on June 6 before taking on Equatorial Guinea on June 9 at the Grand Stade de Marrakech.
President of the Cameroonian Football Federation (Fecafoot), Samuel Eto’o is expected to lead the national team for the two friendly matches.
Reports of a potential blockbuster friendly between Cameroon and Algeria failed to materialize, despite advanced discussions between the two federations.
Meanwhile, Cameroonian rising star Christian Kofane is expected to be included in the team. The 21-year-old forward has been impressive for Albacete in Spain’s Segunda División, scoring 8 goals and providing an assist in18 appearances.
His impressive form could earn him a first senior national team call-up, as the coaching staff considers expanding the squad to inject fresh energy.
With two critical competitions on the horizon, this June camp represents a crucial building block for a Cameroonian side aiming to reclaim its place among Africa’s elite.
