Cameroon star Frank Anguissa named Serie A Player of the Month for October

Cameroon international Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa has been crowned as the Italian Serie A Player of the Month award for October after a series of standout performances for Napoli.

Anguissa, played a crucial role in the club’s success over the month, earning him the prestigious accolade at the expense of others.

The 29-year-old midfielder beats off competition from Bonazzoli (Cremonese), Hakan Çalhanoğlu (Inter Milan), Cambiaghi (Bologna), Caprile (Cagliari), and Leão (Milan) to secure the accolade.

Anguissa is expected to receive his award on Saturday when his outfit takes on Atalanta at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in Naples.

The enterprising midfielder joined Napoli in 2022 from Fulham for €16 million and has since established himself as an important member to the club. This season, Anguissa has played 14 matches, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists.

The Cameroon interantional, who has been in the books of Napoli since 2022 will see his current contract elapse in summer 2027
