Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo has reportedly informed the club of his desire to leave for Manchester United in what he considers a “dream move,” as negotiations between the two sides continue this summer.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the 25-year-old has made it clear to Brentford that he sees a transfer to Old Trafford as the next major step in his career.
Despite his appreciation for the Bees—where he has grown into one of the Premier League’s most consistent wide attackers—Mbeumo believes now is the time to move on.
The Cameroon international has built strong relationships at Brentford and remains professional in his conduct during this period of uncertainty.
However, with Manchester United showing concrete interest, he is eager to see the deal concluded swiftly to enable him to join the team ahead of pre-season, which begins in early July.
Manchester United are reported to have submitted a revised offer exceeding £60 million—an amount that is now close to Brentford’s valuation of the player.
While no agreement has been reached yet, talks are said to be advancing positively, with optimism that a resolution could come in the next few days.
Mbeumo scored 20 goals and registered eight assists for Brentford last season, cementing his status as one of the most productive forwards in the English top flight.
