Premier League giants Manchester United have completed the acquisition of Cameroon international Bryan Mbeumo in the current transfer window.

The Red Devils struggled last term, finishing 15th on the Premier League and also losing the Europa League title to Tottenham Hotspurs, prompting squad reinforcement this summer.

Mbeumo’s potential £71million transfer from Brentford to Man United has been completed, with official confirmation set to follow.

He becomes the second summer signing of Manchester United after Matheus Cunha, who initially joined the Red Devils from Wolves.

Having completed his medical at the Carrington training base, the forward is a contract that will keep him at Manchester United until 2030 with a one-year extension option.

The attacker attracted significant interests following a standout performance for Brentford in the 2024/25 football campaign. He featured in all 38 Premier League games last term, scoring 20 goals and providing eight assists in the process.

However, the Cameroon international opted to join Manchester United. Mbeumo leaves Brentford after a solid six-year spell at the club.

With his wealth of experience, Mbeumo is expected to add fire power to Manchester United’s attack for the 2025/26 football campaign.
