The Cameroonian football federation (FECAFOOT) is set to have a new headquarters as part of its modernization efforts. The laying of the first stone for the new building will take place on November 13, 2012, in Yaoundé. The construction of the headquarters is a significant step for FECAFOOT, reflecting its ambition and forward-looking approach. The project was initially planned to start two years earlier, following the 2010 World Cup, with an estimated cost of over 3 billion CFA francs. However, the Cameroonian government requested a delay for a cost audit. The construction is now expected to cost around 2 billion CFA francs.
