Cameroon Elite One: Colombe Sportive des Deux Rives Extend Lead as Dynamo FC snap winless run and Bamboutos slump deepens

Colombe Sportive des Deux Rives stretched their lead at the top of Cameroon’s Elite One with a dramatic late victory on Sunday, while Dynamo FC of Douala ended a 12-match winless streak to revive hopes of survival in a gripping Matchday 19 across the country.

At the Mbouda Municipal Stadium, Dynamo pulled off one of the weekend’s most talked-about results, defeating relegation rivals Bamboutos FC 1-0.

Florent Batoum scored the decisive goal, sealing a vital three points that lift Dynamo level with their hosts on 17 points.

The long-awaited win marks a possible turning point for Bon Ba Djob’s side, while Bamboutos continue their alarming slide toward the bottom.

Colombe Sportive, meanwhile, cemented their status as title favourites with a narrow 1-0 triumph over Aigle Royal du Moungo.

Hamid Hamza struck in the closing minutes to secure the win, extending Colombe’s lead at the summit to six points.

With 44 points, they remain comfortably ahead of their nearest challengers, Gazelle FA.

Gazelle FA themselves put on a dominant display against Union Sportive de Douala, cruising to a 3-0 win courtesy of goals from Akono, Daura, and Binni.

The defeat leaves Union in 14th place, teetering above the relegation zone with just 16 points.

In the north, Coton Sport delivered a professional performance to dispatch Stade Renard 2-0.

Goals from Moussa Limane and John Bosco Nchindo earned the Garoua giants three crucial points, taking them to 33 and maintaining their pursuit of second place.

Elsewhere, Canon Sportif edged Fauve Azur 1-0 in Yaoundé to climb to sixth on 30 points.

Their traditional dominance in key fixtures remains intact as they chase a top-five finish.

AS Fortuna mounted a spirited comeback to beat Astres de Douala 2-1, overturning a first-half deficit through strikes from Mfoumou and a free-kick by Franck Atsama.

Panthère Sportive du Ndé and Victoria United shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw, a result that changes little for either team.

Meanwhile, a goalless stalemate between PWD and YOSA leaves both sides languishing near the foot of the table with relegation concerns mounting.
