Denis Lavagne, the former coach of the Indomitable Lions, is claiming his victory bonus from the Cameroon-Cape Verde match. In a letter addressed to the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Adoum Garoua, Lavagne requests the payment of the victory bonus as provided for in his contract, amounting to 8,000,000 CFA francs (approximately 16,000 US dollars) for the Cameroon-Cape Verde match on October 14, 2012. Lavagne was suspended in September for poor results, and he threatened to contact FIFA’s legal service if the bonus is not paid. His contract expires on October 31.
