Calls for the dismissal of Mohamed Al-Alawi from coaching Tétouan’s team

After a draw on Thursday against Wydad Témara, tensions rise, calling for the departure of coach Mohamed Al-Alawi from his position as the coach of Moghreb Tétouan.

The match ended with a 1-1 score during the 13th round of the Professional League competitions.

The Tétouan supporters did not welcome the continuous series of draws, with the team unable to break free from it.

The team settled for draws in six consecutive matches, three at home and an equal number on away grounds.

The last victory for the representative of the “White Dove” city dates back to last October, precisely in the seventh round of the Professional League.

On that occasion, they showered the nets of Club Salé with a clean 4-0 victory at the Saniat Rmel Stadium in Tétouan.

Despite the interim committee overseeing the affairs of the Tétouan team renewing its confidence in coach Mohamed Al-Alawi last week during a meeting between the parties, yesterday’s draw against Wydad Témara revived the voices demanding the departure of the mentioned coach.

Mohamed Al-Alawi had previously justified the fluctuations in his team’s results due to several constraints.

Notably, the absence of a natural grass field dedicated to training and the difficulty of maintaining a consistent lineup during the recent rounds due to injuries or suspensions.

At the beginning of the current sports season, “Al-Mata” made a promising start but failed to keep pace with the rhythm as the rounds progressed.

The team currently occupies the 6th position in the Professional League standings with 19 points from 4 wins, 7 draws, and 2 defeats.

Before coaching Moghreb Tétouan, Mohamed Al-Alawi worked as the coach of Renaissance Zemamra in the first division, marking his first experience coaching a top-tier team.

He also coached Raja Beni Mellal and SR Wad Zam, having previously worked as a supervisor at the Mohammed VI Academy.
