The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has reached out to Al Ahly Club within the past few hours to disclose some crucial details regarding the match between the two teams in the fourth round of the African Champions League group stage.
According to a source within CAF’s Competitions Committee, speaking to “Al Watan Sport,” “Al Ahly has been addressed to reveal all the details of the match against CR Belouizdad, including the refereeing crew, which consists of Rwandan referee Samuel Uwimana to officiate the Al Ahly and CR Belouizdad match, assisted by first assistant Motuimana from Rwanda and second assistant Mojaba from Rwanda.”
Al Ahly’s Press Conference Scheduled for 1:45 PM
The source continued, “There is a press conference scheduled for Al Ahly tomorrow at 1:45 PM, while the official training will take place at the 5th of July Stadium at 8:00 PM.”
CAF Resolves Marcel Koller Crisis
Furthermore, CAF has resolved the crisis involving Marcel Koller. According to a source within Al Ahly, there were concerns about Koller not conducting the final training session at the match venue.
However, CAF confirmed in its official letter that tomorrow’s training will take place at the match venue, especially since Koller has only led Al Ahly in one away match this season in the Champions League, against Young Africans.
He managed the two preliminary matches against Saint George in Egypt.
Absentees from Al Ahly in this match include Aliou Dieng, Ahmed Nabil Kouka, Percy Tau, Mohamed El-Shennawi, Wissam Abou Ali, and Mohamed El-Shennawi.
The communication from CAF sheds light on the meticulous preparations and coordination ahead of crucial matches in the African Champions League, ensuring transparency and adherence to regulations.
